Message from the chairman
We are living in a time of change. We must improve productivity in order to achieve growth and maintain the vitality of the Japanese economy against a backdrop of accelerating globalization, an increasing use of IT, a rapidly aging society and a decreasing population.
We must steadily reform rigid regulations, expand the fields in which the private sector plays a major role, promote innovation and create new demand. We also have to improve competitiveness in the global economy.
The Japan Productivity Center promotes increasing employment, cooperation and discussions between labor and management, as well as the fair distribution of the fruits of productivity improvement under its Three Guiding Principles of Productivity. This activity will be further enhanced to cover productivity improvement in areas beyond industry with the participation of labor and management, academic experts, politicians and bureaucrats. We ask you for your kind support and cooperation.
