Japan FOOMA Study Mission to improve F&B business process

The Japan Productivity Center carried out 5 days observational study mission for food service companies in Singapore. This tour is jointly planned with Singapore Productivity Centre (SPC), and Restaurant Association Singapore(RAS), with support from Singapore SPRING.
The 35 delegate consists of owners and managers of food service companies including president of RAS. Meanwhile, some government officials and related agency has joined this mission, aiming to seek solutions for tight labor market and high labor cost. They immersed themselves in observing many machines at FOOMA(The Japan Food Machinery Manufacturers' Association). Prior to join this FOOMA, they get briefing about the Japanese food business landscape and visited 6 advanced and various Japanese companies in the area of food service. Among them are Central kitchen at Watami, Beckers' with JR East Food Business, Ikinari Steak by Pepper Food Service, Ox toungue restarant by Negishi Food Service, Home delivery by Coop Deli, and Several casual dining restaurant by Diamond Dining.
